I read this bloody post when it was first published. I just shook my head and added it to reasons why women should explore other options. But revisiting it today reminded me of a birth that a doula colleague of mine attended in DC just a week and a half ago. After going back for a cesarean for an op baby they had to revisit the er because her bleeding was out of control. And all of this after the Doc claimed that cesareans are safe and the recovery is just the same as a vaginal birth and there aren't any risks to having the surgery. . .
